Discover the

Essence of Australia

This is the ideal time to plan and explore Australia’s diverse landscapes, rugged coastlines and local culture. We have created a collection of exciting new itineraries and experiences, that you can uncover during a Scenic handcrafted land journey in 2022.

It is important to fully understand and explore the multitude of characters, culture and natural beauty throughout this vast country that is Australia. It is, after all, the world’s sixth largest country stretching over 7.7 million square km.

Scenic began its journey in Australia 36 years ago, taking guests on handcrafted land journeys to the Great Ocean Road and exploring Warrnambool’s ‘shipwreck coast’ in southwest Victoria. To share this rich land with our guests – from its craggy coastline ridges, its bountiful vineyards, its white sand beaches and its reddest outback dirt – is in the very DNA and at the heart and soul of Scenic.

During this past year, many have taken the opportunity to venture to their own ‘backyards’, exploring destinations they’ve always wanted to go but have never had the chance. With demand for our escorted land journeys and all-inclusive sightseeing continually growing, our team is excited to share some of the new land journeys, Scenic Freechoice activities and Scenic Enrich experiences that you’ll be able to experience in 2022.

Launching in 2022, we have two new land extensions designed to give you a longer and more immersive experience in a particular region. On the 8-Day Cape York Experience land journey stand at the very tip of the country at Cape York on what is an iconic Australian experience. Starting in Cairns in Queensland, you’ll stay overnight on remote cattle stations and learn about life on a working station. Gaze at a galaxy of stars in the dark, open skies. Cruise along local waterways spotting crocodiles. Learn about Aboriginal history and culture on a Scenic Enrich experience visiting Normanby Station. Stop in at iconic Australian Pubs, meet the locals, drive the legendary Telegraph Track and enjoy authentic outback food and hospitality.

In South Australia, relish some of Australia’s best seafood right at its source during the 5-Day Eyre Peninsula land journey. From your base in Port Lincoln, uncover the natural beauty and the mighty Southern Ocean. Admire ancient granite cliffs throughout Lincoln National Park and visit Coffin Bay, tasting oysters fresh from the sea. Watch as fur seals and sealions bask in the sun atop giant boulders and discover coves with crystal-clear waters.
